I'm Paul Jervis and I have been photographing weddings for more than 18 years
I take a relaxed, unobtrusive approach to wedding photography, offering gentle guidance when you need it and stepping into the background when you don't.
Your wedding isn't a photoshoot.
It's one of the biggest days of your life, and my job is to help you enjoy it.
I'll offer direction when it's needed, step back when it isn't, and capture the laughter, emotion, people and little moments that make your wedding yours.

Your Day, Your Story
Every wedding is different because every couple is different. Some couples want to be adventurous. Others would rather keep things quiet and natural. My job is to work with you, not put you through a set routine. Whether your day involves a dramatic location, a quiet moment with your family or something completely unexpected, I'll be there to capture it without taking you away from the people and moments that matter.

Last minute lifesaver
Paul was a godsend. He stepped in at short notice to cover our wedding and I would highly recommend him if you need a professional and patient person for your event.
On the big day, Paul arrived early which put both me and my partner at ease explaining what we were going to do whilst being flexible as the day went on. After the more formal shots were taken Paul wandered the room taking less formal shots to give a feel for the day which I really appreciated as this allowed us to balance the photography with being present for our guests.
Paul was funny and got smiles from the guests with his quick wit which is reflected in some of the pictures we took andI think this is an important aspect of making this dry part of the day feel good for guests

Moved mountains for us!
We had a very unusual wedding, and a very unusual set of demands for any vendor who worked with us. We married in the Mourne Mountains, needing our celebrant and photographers to be able to accompany us on a hot summer hike to get to the beautiful spot where we would exchange our vows. We had only our children and best friends with us, so photographs were vital to us to capture the day for absent family, and preserve our memories forever. Did Paul or Judith bat an eyelid? Not at all! In fact, they cancelled their leave to be with us on the day, camped overnight in the van the night before, and greeted us with energy and positivity on our wedding day. It was a pleasure to hike with them, sharing stories as they skillfully took the most beautiful and natural photos of us and those we loved. The pictures were AMAZING and we were heard and guided from the point of first booking, all the way through. I hate having pics taken usually, but I loved every minute with Paul and Judith.

About Paul & Judith Jervis
I'm Paul, and I've been photographing weddings for more than 18 years. Together with my wife Judith, I've built Jervis Wedding Photography around a simple idea: your wedding should be enjoyed, not turned into a photoshoot.
I'm now the primary photographer, with Judith able to join me as a second photographer when her availability allows. Between us, we've photographed countless weddings, but every couple and every wedding is different.
My approach is relaxed and personal — offering guidance when it's needed, stepping back when it isn't, and capturing the moments, emotions and people that make your day yours.
Based in Ballyclare near Belfast, I photograph weddings throughout Northern Ireland, the border counties and beyond.
